Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: May 17, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
Forel Enterprises llc (DBA “Forel Solutions”, “Forel”, “the Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates as a specialized engineering and technology consultancy registered in the State of Colorado. By accessing, browsing, or utilizing this website, including all technical resources, whitepapers, modeling data, and documentation (collectively, the “Site”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorized to use this Site and must discontinue access immediately.
For the formal engagement of engineering consulting services, simulation validations, or physical laboratory testing, a separate, mutually executed Master Services Agreement (MSA) or Statement of Work (SOW) is required and will supersede these website-specific Terms.
2. No Engineering or Professional Advice
The technical content, equations, circuit topologies, and design rules-of-thumb presented on this Site—specifically regarding Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), and EM Emission Security (EMSEC)—are provided strictly for peer informational, educational, and historical reference purposes.
High-speed electromagnetic behavior is inherently non-linear and governed by the deterministic analog physics of complex, multi-variable physical systems. Actual performance is dependent on specific physical geometries, dielectric materials, via transitions, manufacturing tolerances, and power delivery network (PDN) stackups. Consequently, nothing on this Site constitutes a formal engineering design, architectural specification, or a guarantee of regulatory compliance (e.g., FCC, CISPR, MIL-STD-461, or Emission Security standards). Visitors are solely responsible for verifying their layouts and bus architectures using independent 3D electromagnetic field solvers or physical laboratory measurement.
3. Intellectual Property & Patent Protections
All content displayed on this Site—including but not limited to technical articles, transmission line simulation methodologies, matrix solver formulations, multi-chip module (MCM) thermal/noise isolation concepts, and text—is the proprietary intellectual property of Forel Enterprises llc and is protected by United States and international copyright and patent laws.
This infrastructure includes references to historical industry specifications and methodologies authored or edited by Lawrence C. Barnes, such as the INCITS SCSI Signal Modeling (SSM and SSM-2) projects and IBIS modeling frameworks. Your access to this Site does not grant you any ownership, license, or right to use these proprietary modeling methodologies or patented bus-termination and signal-overlay concepts for commercial product development or deployment without an explicit, separate written license agreement from us.
4. Academic Citation & Research Attribution
We recognize the value of academic inquiry and peer-level research within the advanced electronics engineering ecosystem. To support this community, we grant limited usage rights under the following strict terms:
Permitted Educational Use
- Authorized Entities: Faculty, researchers, and students representing accredited academic institutions, military service academies, and federal research laboratories are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to reference public technical insights and historical modeling project histories found on this Site.
- Scope: Usage is strictly restricted to educational, scholarly, and non-commercial research purposes.
Mandatory Attribution Format
Any academic, educational, or professional reference to materials on this Site must include explicit, formal attribution to the author. Citations must utilize the following standardized format:
- Barnes, Lawrence C., “[Insert Web Page or Article Title],” Forel Enterprises llc, Available at: [Insert Exact URL] (Accessed: [Insert Date]).
Prohibited Activities
This limited license strictly prohibits, without limitation, the following actions unless explicit, prior written consent is obtained directly from Forel Enterprises llc:
- Wholesale Duplication: The copying, mirroring, or republishing of original schematic diagrams, patent drawings, or complete blocks of text.
- Machine Learning & AI Training: The utilization of any technical content, data, or code from this Site for training artificial intelligence (AI) models.
- Automated Engineering Tools: Systematic scraping or data mining of Site assets to train automated PCB auto-routers, hardware synthesis engines, or simulation algorithmic tools.
5. National Security & Export Control Compliance
Certain advanced engineering disciplines detailed or referenced on this Site—specifically regarding Electromagnetic Emission Security (EMSEC), strategic RF/microwave link architectures, shielding effectiveness, and radiation/vulnerability mitigation—involve technologies heavily restricted by federal law.
By accessing this Site, you warrant and represent that you are not a restricted party under United States export control lists. You agree to strictly comply with all applicable the United States national security and export control regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR, 22 C.F.R. Parts 120-130) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR, 15 C.F.R. Parts 730-774). You explicitly agree that you will not download, transmit, or export any technical data or software models obtained from this Site to any foreign national or restricted international destination in violation of federal law
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Forel Enterprises llc shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or relating to your use, or inability to use, the information provided on this Site. This includes, without limitation, liability for physical hardware failures, PCB spin re-costs, production delays, loss of data, or regulatory non-compliance fines. All content on this Site is provided entirely on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
7. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Forel Enterprises llc, its officers, and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Site’s information, or your infringement of any intellectual property or export control laws.
8. Governing Law & Jurisdictional Venue
These Terms and any legal dispute or claim arising out of your use of this Site shall be governed by, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
You explicitly agree that any legal action, suit, or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts presiding over El Paso County, Colorado, and you hereby submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
9. Modifications to these Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time without prior notice. The date of the most recent revision will always be displayed at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site following the posting of any changes constitutes binding acceptance of those modifications.
